The summer is an exciting time to visit Madison. The Mid-Continent Transportation Symposium will be held in downtown Madison, only blocks from the UW-Madison Campus. Below are some key area attractions, followed by links to more information.

 

Area Attractions

The University of Wisconsin provides a twist to the Madison atmosphere with high quality research, athletics, and night life.

The Memorial Union terrace overlooks beautiful Lake Mendota and hosts live musical act weekly.
The Farmers' Market on the Capital Square is the largest producer-only farmers' market in the country!

Madison has many recreational areas to go biking and hiking, including UW’s Arboretum and any of Madison’s local trails.

State Street is one block from the Concourse Hotel. The mile-long pedestrian mall has 200 shops and stores, over 60 restaurants, over 20 sidewalk cafes, and excellent theaters and museums.
