Making Research Pay Off
The Midwest Regional University Transportation Center hosted the 6th Mid-Continent Transportation Research Forum on August 17-18, 2006.
This workshop focused on processes that move research into practice, specifically within public sector agencies. Speakers tailored their presentations to show strategies and efforts that have immediate and measurable benefits to the respective agencies.
Researchers were encouraged to focus their efforts on projects that demonstrate a significant return on the investment of the sponsoring agencies.
Full papers were not required. Researchers and presenters who submitted a full paper for peer review were published and distributed on compact disc.
This event was sponsored by the MRUTC, the Wisconsin Traffic Operations and Safety Lab, the Wisconsin Highway Research Program, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the Great Lakes Maritime Research Institute, the Center for Transportation Research and Education at Iowa State University, and the Iowa Department of Transportation.
